My wonderful husband took me to see Fireproof this afternoon. It was great. He’s very adamant that he didn’t cry (but delighted that I did, of course), however I’m not sure I didn’t see a liquid glint in his eyes on a couple of occasions.

For those of you who are followers of Jesus, you know how very seldom Hollywood gets it right concerning what we believe and how we are (or at least, how we’d like to be). This movie was (as you probably know) produced by a couple of pastors who decided that film was a great media to reach people. They did a good job. The movie was well-made; the acting was professional and believable (even my hubby thought so), the visuals were effective, and the music was excellent.

So, if you haven’t seen it yet, get your sweetie and go. Or go alone. You’ll enjoy it. Plus, there’s a companion book which you can pick up at Sam’s Club–The Love Dare. I got the book, but I haven’t looked through it yet. I’ve been buying so many books lately . . . anyway, I’m going to start reading it tonight.

God bless,

Cindy
